So this outfit was pretty much a steal, I love my brand names but sometimes it's just dumb to buy the same thing for $40 more when you can just get it at a store like Kmart. Thanks Kmart! hahah!
Happy Memorial Day!

The Inside

I only own the skirt and the shirt, the rest are all compliments of my sister's closet, while I'm with her in D.C. This was taken at the end of a long day. I had just got off the horrible 11 hour bus ride that morning, and it was a very calm day after that tiring experience. These unfortunately were taken only by me, or else I would have chosen a better area to take pictures. I have to tripod, and I'm in a city, where it makes it difficult as well. I wanted to add some outfits posts, so I know more will come after I return to New York.

Washington, D.C

Adventure in Washington D.C!

This was my delicious brunch, of course with a mimosa!

I'm having a quite night while Josh and Shannon enjoy Die Zauberflote! Shannon's favorite Opera, and one of mine (I prefer the Marriage of Figaro)

Ah, the Kennedy Opera House. What breathless charm D.C holds.

I rode an awful 11 hour bus ride from Buffalo to Washington, but when I saw my sister, it was a breath of fresh air! I finally met her beau, Josh! He is very nice and funny, if you were wondering. Today was a very relaxed day, I walked around alone for a bit, got some groceries, and witnessed many graduates excitedly roam the streets with family and friends. Here are some pictures so far! I'm going to try to get some outfits pictures for you all. I haven't taken any in quite some time!

My good mood could be because of the city life (an actual city, and not ghost town Buffalo), or it could be Frank Sinatra's voice in my headphones. Probably a mix of both. Thanks for staying faithful!

I've finally reached 15,000 page views! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Tuesday Tips: What hair cut is right for your face shape?

I've personally been very conflicted about cutting my hair. This is the longest my hair has ever been and even though I want it to be very long, I also want it to be different. I'm growing very bored of it (which happens too frequently) I've been thinking of dying it blue, brown (again) or whatever just to change it up. However, if I dye my hair again. I'll probably fry it to death. So in my research I've looked up what hair cuts are best for certain face shapes!

Round Faces:
Asymmetrical hair cuts with many layers. Longs side swept bangs and a side part give the appearance of a slimmer face. Another good option is a piecy bob. Something with many layers and intentionally a bit uneven.

Oval Faces:
Blunt bangs, such as straight cut bangs) are good for oval faces. Often people with oval shaped faces tend to look like they have a long face. If you desire to "shorten" your appearance, bangs add a nice evening touch! If bangs just really aren't your thing, shoulder length hair with a center part looks very romantic!

Square Faces:
A thinned out short bob is very cute for a square face. It lightened the weigh of the hair and creates more volume at the roots. It softens the appearance of a defined square face. Long hair with wavy ends and a center part is a nice accent, too!

Heart Faces:
Hair that's chin length is probably the shortest you want to cut your hair unless it's a full on pixie cut. To create a more even look, it's good to have hair that fills in around your chin. A deep side part is also a nice compliment to the straightforwardness of a heart shaped face.

Tuesday Tips: Skirt Problems and their Strange Solutions

I love dressing feminine, but I HATE wearing any mini skirt or just about that length. I walk almost everywhere because I don't have a car and so I run into a lot or problems that many girls might also experience.

1. How to tell if your butt is still hidden
When I have my backpack on, I get so scared that my skirt is caught on it and I'm walking around with my butt hanging out. If you've ever worn a mini skirt or just a shorter than usual length skirt, you know that you can always feel a breeze, which is what freaks me out the most. The solution? Well, I personally just run my hand over the side of my skirt to be able to tell that it's still down and I'm safe!

2. That awful static you get with skirts or dresses
A friend in the theatre community taught me this years ago, and I've never forgot it! If you're wearing tights, nylons, stockings, ect. then put lotion on OVER those so it soaks into the tights and your legs. It gets rid of that cling! You could also lightly hairspray the outside of the skirt and that does the trick pretty well, too!

3. Bending over in a skirt
I think this is pretty much common knowledge, but when bending over to pick something up, never actually bend. Especially in something short, your panties are guaranteed to show! Yikes! So to solve the solution, bend your knees and keep your back straight. It's pretty simple and always works.

4. Elastic Waistbands
I cannot express how much I hate skirts with elastic waistbands. If you're anything like me and have love handles then you feel my pain. Skirts with elastic waistbands never have anywhere to properly sit without making the skirt ridiculously short. The only way I've figured out how to make sure my skirt doesn't ride up too much is by looking in a full length mirror and keeping a mental note of where (in correlation to other garments) where the band should sit of my hips, or handles for that matter.

5. Undies are an important factor, too!
Make sure you wear your most comfortable undies. Because throughout the day with walking, sitting, getting up again, ect, you won't be able to tug up or down your undies to make yourself more comfortable. When you adjust yourself in jeans, it just looks like you're lifting up your pants, but with skirts/dresses, it's obvious. So just do it right in the first place and wear good panties.

Makeup Monday: Compliment Your Eyes

Okay, so I like to make the deep green in my eye color pop a lot more than it naturally does. I'll give you ya few pointers of what colors make certain eye colors pop!

What you want is basically the opposite color on the color wheel. It compliments any eye color.
