Chilly Winds are Driving Me Away

Taking a turn back in time with my mom's sweater from the late 80's into the 90s. Thanks, Mom.

Pink Spring

Pink Spring

This is something cute that I've put together on polyvore! I am not too much of a pink person, but I'm trying to think warm in this -11 degree weather! It's simply unbearable without a car. But I'm excited for the sunshine and spring!

Here are some ideas to decorate your house/apartment/dorm so that winter doesn't seem so dreary. We need a little sunshine from somewhere, right!?

Hello, Hello.

Wow, it feels like it's been a while. January has been a very uninspiring month for me, and to be honest, I have a lot of free time (because I'm on a break for school..STILL) but I haven't got anyone to take pictures, really. And I'm sick of trying to prop my camera up on silly things to get a half decent picture. I promise I will try to post more, I've also been tight on money, and I feel like I'm running out of clothes (besides t-shirts, jeans, and scarves.) I don't want to post boring outfits anymore, but I can't bring myself to take pictures outside in 5 degree weather wearing a dress or skirt. It's bitter in Buffalo and 2 minutes without anything covered burns!
As an apology for my unannouced hiatius, I have posted a few pictures having to do with a dress that I pulled out and am blogging about again, some cheerful decorations, and a taste of what Shawn wears!
I hope you enjoy, and again, I'm sorry for going away for so long!

Tuesday Tips: Keeping Moisturized

Okay, to start off, my actual tip is to go see "Frozen" by Disney! And watch it with your sister, if you have one. My older sister, Shannon, was in town for break from Washington D.C. We have always been very close and have shared things like every sibling does. I have so many things that remind me of her. Frozen has now been added to that list. Elsa, the ice sorceress Queen is like my sister, and I am Ana. It's perfect because they also look like us, hair color wise. I can't stop listening to the soundtrack, and the end melts my heart , (pun, if you've seen the film). It's actually made me miss my sister more than ever. I don't have a car and living in Buffalo with all the snow and storms make it hard to drive to my parents house where she's staying. Enough about my little tidbit, lets get to the Tuesday Tip!

Clean and Clear Dual Action Moistuizer                                     Aveeno Positively Radiant Moistuizer
Olay Complete Moisturizer with Sunscreen                              Johnson's Natural baby lotion

Winter air is very dry, believe it or not, which causes chap lips easily and dry skin, especially on places like legs, face, and elbows. Now I suggest anything with coco butter, it hydrates the skin even long after it's absorbed into it. I also have an acne problem, so to prevent breaking out, I have to be very careful which moisturizers I use. Through years of experimentation, I have come up with a list of great affordable products that you can easily get at drug stores!
Note: I have normal fairly dry skin (all year round), and my sister has sensative oily skin. We are very different skin types but these products are ones that have done wonders for both of us, so don't be afraid to try if you have sensative skin!

Makeup Monday: A Little Estee Magic

Makeup makeup everywhere!

For Christmas, "Santa" got me a bunch of makeup from Estee Lauder including loads of lipstick!
I got a big box to carry all my makeup in (and it doesn't even fit it all) but it manages to have more than enough room for my everyday necessities!

The other day, I learned that my Maybelline Matte Mousse is supposed to be applied with a foundation brush. My mind was blown, and I feel like an idiot and then some. You'd think that I might know a thing or two about that considering I run a fashion blog! Well anyway, I wanted to tell you all how great the Estee Lauder eyeshadows and blushes are! They stay well and the colors (even neutral ones) are noticible enough to create a ton of fantastic looks. I am a huge fan of the Estee Lauder colors, however, I'm sad to say that they don't stay on very long but they do fade evenly when they come off (that's always a plus.)

Happy & Healthy New Year and I hope you're all living your dreams like I am!
