Tuesday Tips: Tiny Trick to Calm Inflammation

I know that everyone's had some sort of blemish in their lifetime. I know that I've had my fair share of embarrassing moments when I had an inflamed blemish. I don't like spending a ridiculous amount of money on expensive creams that don't really work. So earlier today, I was flipping through my home remedies book, I found something that seems to be pretty effective in calming inflammation. I have yet to try this on myself but I have done research on this remedy and it seems to have pretty positive responses! Rose water and Lavender actually help even out your skin tone and reduce inflammation.

Michele Vanlandingham, Ingredient Specialist, Dr.Hauschka Skin Care:
“Rose is one of the most beneficial and skin-friendly essential oils, containing more than 400 individual components. Rose essential oil has toning, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, making it useful for soothing and strengthening the skin. In aromatherapy, rose essential oil is used to help promote inner relaxation and balance and soothe nervous tension and emotional exhaustion.”

Rose water can usually be found in any local drug store. Usually you can find it at places like Walmart or Kmart as well! All you need to do is dab some onto some cotton balls and voila! Help for your inflammation

Rose water is fairly cheap and is a natural way to help reduce inflammation from blemishes. It's great for calming the face!
