Tuesday Tips: 5 Ways to Fight Wrinkles Home Remedy Style

Wrinkles...
Everyone wants to look older until they get wrinkles. Believe it or not, you should already be starting the process to prevent them! You may not see much of a need to, or much improvement now, but you will definitely thank me in about 10-15 years!


Wear Sunscreen
  • People think that aging is the big factor with wrinkles, but actually, it's the sun. Yes, the sun's UV rays are very harmful to our skin, not only in the form of wrinkles, but in cancers, too.
  • Wearing sunscreen at all parts of the year, YES ALL, will help you maintain fresh and young looking skin. You might question why you soul wear sunscreen even in the winter; well, the snow radiates the sun's UV rays, and can be just as harmful as it is in the summer. Wearing sunscreen under your makeup from at least 10 a.m to 2 p.m should do the trick, according to M.D. Gary Rogers.

Sleep on Your Back
  • Years and years of sleeping with your face on your pillow will cause your face to stretch and move around your skin more, and therefore making it a little more lose each time.

Don't smoke.
  • This can be easier said than done with some people who have made smoking a habit. It will take a smoker 3 times the amount of special wrinkle creams to prevent or treat wrinkles, than a person who doesn't smoke. Chew on that for a bit.

Moisturize
  • There is nothing more important that keeping a moisturized face. Different skin types call for different products; however, moisturizing and being hydrated go hand in hand. If you have oily skin and can't exactly apply moisturizer without look like a mess, just drink a lot of water to keep your skin hydrated and healthy. If you have normal or dry skin, you should be drinking and moisturizing.

Self Awareness
  • Have you ever pulled on your face when putting on makeup? Or realized you were making a facial expression that used a lot of facial muscles? Or perhaps, you have rubbed creams, makeup, or soap on your face, instead of dabbing? These are all things that add (much more than you think) to the cause of early wrinkling. I personally already have tiny crows feet. I'm 18! I'm guilty of pulling my eyes to draw on liquid eyeliner wings. Be careful about resting your face on your hand in class/work, and dabbing instead of rubbing. It counts, trust me.
